Life across Waukesha and the rest of Lake Country follows routines shaped by school schedules, lake access, and the steady movement between towns like Delafield, Hartland, Oconomowoc, Pewaukee, and Waukesha. People stop at local markets, shops, and gathering spots as they go about their day, especially along busy corridors connecting neighborhoods. Small snack shops become regular stops for families after spending time at fields, parks, or the lake paths. Gift stores see steady traffic from residents picking up items for their homes or local events. Cold-drink spots stay busy with people passing through between work and errands. Each town feels unique—Hartland and Delafield with quieter centers, Oconomowoc and Pewaukee connected closely to the shoreline, and Waukesha with more active commercial areas—but all share a familiar, welcoming atmosphere. Local businesses are part of these routines, providing familiar places where people can stop, shop, and relax.

Nicole Orth

Local Account Manager

Hi, I’m Nicole! I grew up in Central Minnesota and later spent 13 wonderful years in Montana, where I truly fell in love with the mountains. Skiing, hiking, and wide-open spaces have left me with unforgettable memories. Nothing beats a midnight sky out West while backpacking. These days I call Northwest North Carolina home, which I love for its sense of community and the easy access it gives me to traveling. I am always seeking a destination to explore and interact with new cultures and new ways of living. My professional background includes restaurant hospitality and management, community health, and nonprofit work, all of which have shaped how I connect with people. As a Local Account Manager, I enjoy building quality relationships and thoughtfully matching businesses with opportunities. I’m especially grateful to work in a role that supports small, local businesses and helps communities thrive just the way it should be.
