In Friendswood, the streets stay a little cooler under old live oaks. Kids biking past, trying to stay in their shadows, while neighbors wave from driveways. Boats rock at the marina, families share plates at Red Oak Café, while laughter rolls out the door at the local brewery. Traffic from the freeway hums between them, but the pace never feels rushed. One town leans on its roots, the other on its horizon, and somehow they meet in the middle.
